Christian Brother Kenneth Chapman, CFC, a former longtime professor and artist-in-residence at Iona University, had his artwork featured at the prestigious National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis this past July, attracting tens of thousands of visitors.
Selected from among 650 entries, Br. Chapmanās paintings offer profound reflections on spirituality and the cosmos. The exhibition, titled āIn Memory of Me,ā included several of his notable works, such as āYour Heavenly Word Came Downā and āLast Supper,ā alongside pieces from sacred artists across
the nation.
Br. Chapmanās artwork represents a lifetime of contemplative thought and artistic expression. As a former artist-in-residence at Iona, many of his paintings are displayed throughout the New Rochelle campus and are occasionally showcased in exhibits at the Br. Kenneth Chapman Gallery within the JoAnn Mazzella Murphy ā98H Arts Center on North Avenue.
