Brothers, former Brothers and their families gathered on June 8 on the lawn at their Pryer Terrace residence to honor those Brothers who had been serving in the Congregation of Christian Brothers for 50, 60 and 65 years.
Brother John J. McCarthy and the All Saints Brothers’ Community hosted the event, and Father Robert LaFerrera ’72, former Brother and now priest of the Archdiocese of Newark, presided at the outdoor Eucharist.
Brother P. Sean Moffett ’59 offered a warm welcome to the group on behalf of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers North American Province Leadership Team. Then Mr. Thomas Sanger, Edmundian ’69, brought laughs to the group as he shared recollections of the hundred or more men in black robes moving from class to class throughout the campus.
